Volodymyr Zelenskyy Ready to Resign for Peace – But at What Cost?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his willingness to resign if it would lead to a resolution of the ongoing conflict with Russia or facilitate Ukraine's membership in NATO.

He responded, "If to achieve peace you really need me to give up my post—I'm ready. I can trade it for NATO membership, if there are such conditions."

Compounding Ukraine's challenges, U.S. and Russian officials recently met in Saudi Arabia for "exploratory" talks aimed at ending the war.
